Finding the shop
Look for the black “Le Barbier Privé” sign above the door and the Barber Shop flag in front of the window, at 234 Rue Dufferin.
The shop is on the ground floor of Place Griffith, a fully renovated heritage building in downtown Sherbrooke, where the Magog and Saint-François rivers meet.
Dufferin Street is part of the city’s commercial history: as early as 1854, merchant John Griffith, who arrived in Sherbrooke in 1826 and served twice as mayor, built a three-storey commercial block there that housed the post office until 1884.
