2. Information we collect and why
We only collect the information needed for the purposes listed below.
| Situation | Information | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Online booking | Name, phone number, email address, chosen service and barber, date and time, optional note. | Confirm and manage your appointment, send you a reminder, reach you if anything changes. |
| Phone call, text message or message on Facebook or Instagram | Name, contact details and the content of your message. | Answer your request and book your appointment. |
| Payment at the shop | Amount, service and payment method. Card data is processed by the Square terminal; we do not keep any card numbers. | Process the payment, give you a receipt and meet our tax obligations. |
| Visiting the website | Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time. | Run the website, protect it against attacks and produce overall, anonymous traffic statistics. No profile is created. |
We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law allows it. We never sell or rent your information.
3. Using the website: anonymous statistics, no cookies
- The website uses no cookies, no advertising tools and no cross-site tracking.
- To better understand how the website is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a statistics tool that sets no cookies and creates no visitor profile. It measures, in aggregate, the pages viewed, the referring page, the country, the type of device and browser, and page loading speed. We use this data only to improve the website; it does not identify you and is not used for advertising.
- Fonts are hosted on our own website: no data is sent to an external font service.
- The website temporarily keeps two technical indicators in your browser (for example, that the opening animation has already been shown). They contain no personal information, are never sent to us and are erased when you close the tab.
- Links to Square, Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram open external websites, which apply their own privacy policies.
4. Consent
By booking an appointment or sending us your contact details, you consent to our using them for the purposes described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the person in charge, subject to legal obligations (for example, keeping tax records).
For a haircut for a child under 14, the information is provided by the child’s parent or guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf.
5. Sharing with third parties and hosting outside Quebec
We use service providers that process some information on our behalf, only to the extent necessary:
- Square (Block, Inc.): online booking, appointment reminders and payments. Square privacy policy
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and anonymous traffic statistics. Cloudflare privacy policy
These providers may store information outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada and in the United States. Before entrusting them with information, we assess that it will receive adequate protection, as the law requires. We may also disclose information without your consent when the law requires or allows it.
6. Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected: appointment contact details, as long as you are a client of the shop; payment records, for the period required by tax laws (generally six years). It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.
Only team members who need your information for their work can access it. Booking accounts are password-protected and the website is fully encrypted (HTTPS).
7. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- withdraw your consent to its use;
- ask that we stop disseminating it or de-index any link to it, in the cases provided by law;
- be informed of the information used to make a decision about you.
To exercise a right, contact the person in charge at 819-620-2690 or by mail. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We respond within 30 days. Access is free; reasonable fees may apply only for transcription or reproduction, and you will be told in advance.
8. Confidentiality incident
If personal information is accessed, used or disclosed without authorization, or lost, we promptly take steps to reduce the risk of harm and prevent it from happening again. If the incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned. All incidents are recorded in a register.
9. Complaints
If you believe your information has not been handled in accordance with the law or this policy, please contact the person in charge first: we will handle your complaint promptly. You can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec: cai.gouv.qc.ca, 1-888-528-7741.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with its last updated date.
In effect since October 18, 2026.
